Should cars have a U-Turn indicator too?

I'm not sure how many of you have felt the need of a U-turn indicator in cars, but if you're in India (left side driving, normally two-way roads, driver sits on the right) you would've experienced scenarios that makes you demand this.
For e.g.: while taking a U-turn on my right side (specially on a X-roads, where your right indicator would be confused as taking the way right) people behind you would try and overtake you from the driver's side making it an accident-prone effort!
Just out of curiosity I threw this query to google about U-turn indicators in Cars and I got some interesting results (image courtesy http://bz.pair.com/fun/indicators.html):
u-turn signals

One website that speaks about wierd ideas (some making good sense) says:
I don't see the difference between turning left and making a left U-turn. Either way I am not going to try to pass on the left.
But, regardless. A graphic display in the place of each tail light could provide specialized messages to the driver behind. I've been kidnapped, left turn, left U-turn, car is smoking, seat belt hanging out, kids throwing things, ...

Check this out at: WhyNot

Similar confusion happens with no proper signaling in a car for round-abouts. Some scenarios and ideas are captured at: directionally accurate car indicators

My goodness! think about a problem and people might already have faced it or you could be in for a solution with google-at-your-service...Then, why don't we see vehicle manufacturers and traffic enforcers together act and make these changes for better?
